Hope is NOT a strategy. Perhaps like you, I hoped that one day I would wake up and feel suddenly at ease and comfortable in the world of referral solicitation. It never happened, as do hopes in general.
Eureka moment!
Have you ever had one of those moments of clarity? I’ve only had a handful in my life, and where once I would doubt that moment of Intuition; experience has taught me to be more respectful of their brief appearances.
Surely it couldn’t be this easy! Years of opportunity waste flashed before my eyes as I reflected on so many years of hard slog, when it could have been so easy.
Rewind a few years. My online networking efforts had produced a few thousand Twitter connections, a few thousand Facebook-likes, a few hundred YouTube subscribers complemented by another couple of hundred LinkedIn connections. To what end you might ask? If we judge this digital activity in terms of gross sales alone, then the answer would be, NEGLIGIBLE if any.
