Introduction and endorsement are the most powerful of edifiers. What more could you ever want than to be edified by your peers to their engaged customers.
Seek out those who swim in the same waters as you. Not direct competitors or purveyors of the same goods or services, but rather those in the ancillary orbit of complementary businesses.
A real estate agent for instance, would do well to seek out Brokers, Settlement Agents, Financial Planners, Solicitors, Marketing Agencies, Social Media connectors, Accountants, Builders, and Land Developers etc.
All businesses have some level of relationship to multiple other businesses.
