INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S WEEK...BECAUSE ONE DAY IS NOT ENOUGH. MARCH 1-8
Since 2013 in celebration of International Women’s Day, Mindful Journey has hosted an all day
holistic event, Women in Wellness Expo. It is held at the Marmora Community Centre where over
twenty local holistic practitioners and vendors give mini sessions, readings and sell their goods to the
enthusiastic guests. Everyone is busy when the doors open at 11am until they close at 4 pm at which
time guests and vendors participate in a group guided meditation, door prizes are drawn and we are
gifted with a guest speaker. We are happy to announce that the Expo is back on this year, March 04,
11 am – 5pm at the Marmora Community Centre, 28 Victoria Street, Marmora. This year Joyce
Ioannou of Cedars Wellness will be taking the helm with Janice assisting. This is a free event, open to

Well, local businesses asked to take part in Women in Wellness but there just wasn’t enough space
so…Janice went to the Municipality of Marmora and Lake and asked if they would declare March 1-8
as International Women’s Week…because one day is not enough. Guess what? They did! In 2015 local

businesses put up beautiful purple and white bows on the storefronts, offered specials, workshops
and various events. What a wonderful celebration this has become!
To make it even more special an Official Ribbon Cutting is hosted within the Marmora and Lake area.
This year’s ribbon cutting will take place will take place at Caressant Care Retirement Home, March
01st at 2pm. Be sure to mark your calendar to join us there for this wonderful start to an amazing
week. All you need to bring is your smile!
Now, decide what your business/service can do this year to celebrate with us. Everything from
hosting a workshop, event, specials, pictures in your window, highlighting the women who work for
you, yourself! The possibilities are limited only by your imagination. Need a speaker? Contact Janice
and she can either attend herself or knows someone who can. Be sure to post on social media so we
