     MARMORA AND LAKE CELEBRATING 200TH ANNIVERSAY

     The  200th  Anniversary  of  Marmora  Event
     celebrates the establishment of the Marmora
     Ironworks  by  Charles  Hayes  in  1820/1821
     (Canada's first upper mining town). The event
     was postponed in 2021 due to Covid, but now
     the  time  has  come  for  us  to  finally  get
     together  and  celebrate  our  bicentennial  on
     July  30,  2022  at  the  Marmora  Fairgrounds  &
     Arena!



      So many fun activities happening...Pentecostal Church Breakfast, Dunk Tank, Bouncy Castle, Mine for Marbles, Kids Craft
      Centre,  Family  Games  Area,  Marmora  Has  Talent,  HUGE  Vendor/Craft  Show  at  the  arena  (over  55  vendors)  and  more!
      Several food truck vendors, beer tent and taking the stage at 8:00 pm, Canada's Number One Hip Tribute...the Practically
      Hip!

      The  first  Log  Drivers  Festival  in  Marmora  on  May  21st,  the  storm  that  blew  through  cut  the  day  short  and  many  of  the
      planned events...but while the weather cooperated the festival brought people and smiling faces out...many thanks to all the
      volunteers and organizers who put this Festival together.
