A “GOOD NEWS” DAY FOR MADOC TOWNSHIP
Friday the 13th is usually a day associated with bad news. However, Friday August 13th proved to be a good-news day for
Madoc Township.
During a ground-breaking ceremony for their new million-dollar state-of-
the-art fire hall, officials from Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance Company in
Picton surprised everyone in attendance with a special gift in the form of a

"Fire Chief Jason Gear was extremely happy the community participation, "it
was incredible and we are very pleased with the turn out and that we were
able to raise $10,200 during the day event. Between the nice surprise from
Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance and what we raised during the day, has given
us a great start towards our goal. Huge SHOUT OUT to everyone who
participated and donated.
