BRUCE LEE HOUSE LEAGUE
Written by: Harold Bailey
The Bruce Lee House League begins it's 31 year of operation with registration on Thur Sept 9 from 6;00-8:00 at the Madoc
arena. Our Motto -Begin your hockey career by having fun. The BLHL began operation in 1990-91 season as the Madoc House
League but after the accidental death of Bruce Lee who was one of our great coaches, the league changed the name to the
Bruce Lee House League. We provide recreational hockey to players from 3-15 for those who want to have fun and do not
want an intensified program as the minor hockey leagues. For those who want the competition there are fine OMHA
programs run in Tweed, Stirling, Madoc Marmora.
Our program begins with 3 weeks of skills beginning Thur. Sept
30 with instruction from the Hurricane hockey club. That cost is
$ 20 with Junior ( 3-8 ) on the ice from 5:30-6:20. Seniors ( 9-15)
on ice from 6:30-7:20. Beginning Thur Oct 21 all registered
players begin the hokey program. Cost $ 70. Our season is
extended by 3 weeks this year and hopefully we will not be
restricted by covid restrictions however we will follow the
guidelines. If anyone misses the registration they may catch up
on out Facebook page @bruceleehouseleague. We require the
name of players to form teams. Or contact Karen or Harold at
harold.bailey@sympatico.ca. Looking forward to a hopefully free
season. Thanks to CARAH hockey for the donation as per a
previous issue of News on 7.
