     STEP 10: Repeat Step 9. You can also add the fence posts and gate.
STEP 11: Using the 3⁄4" flat wash and watered-down Sweet Mint, paint a light wash at the bottom of the painting. This will balance it and soften everything at the same time. Use some Dioxazine Purple and add some birds flying over; this breaks up the monotony of the sky and gives it depth as well as life. At this point, you can add whatever you feel to make it yours.
FINAL DETAILS
Do you notice how the edge of the moon comes from behind the horizontal cabin and how it leaves part of the steeple in the sky? This gives depth and at the same time “grounds” the cabin and steeple. The moon then arcs its way to the trees and horizon, enclosing the tiny cabin in the distance. The path winds back and forth to suggest dis- tance and if you look, you will notice the perspective point that exists behind the small distant cabin. This is where I want your eye to go first...and it will because that is how I planned the movement. From there, your eye will travel the arc of the moon to the steeple and horizontal cabin. The dark green bushes will pull your eye to the reflection
