STEP 3: Reapply wax as before and paint again with Tingle’s Pond, adding some Smoked Pearl to lighten, using water to thin. Air dry again and shave as before. You can apply many layers of wax and paint as you want, but remember – do not sand and be sure to air dry.
Apply pattern. It is not necessary to add all of the small leaves at this time.
NOTE: When you begin painting the design and you find paint is not sticking or is beading up on the surface, you may need to shave again as this could mean there is still wax on the surface.
