LET’S PAINT
IRIS: Paint the leaves Festive Green, painting either over that one flower petal or around it. Paint the petals Snow (Titanium) White and the center Dioxazine Purple using the no. 12 filbert brush or the ultra round brush. You will need to apply at least two coats of paint to each area to achieve full coverage. See Iris Step 1 of the Step-by-Steps above.
BUTTERFLY: The wings are painted Blue Violet and the body is painted Dioxazine Purple, using the no. 8 filbert
NOTE: Allow drying time between the steps.
STEP 1
Transfer the design onto the plaque. The stem of the iris should be straight and should end about 1" (2.54 cm) from the bottom point of the plaque. Measure the leaves and pet- als to ascertain that they are equidistant from the sides.
