 Using the no. 6 chisel, add Snow White highlights to the center of the scarf, hat rim, and the inside edge of the hat fold. Using the no. 1 liner with water-thinned Williams- burg Blue add stripes to the hat. Using the no. 2 shader, shade the blue stripes with a float of Deep Midnight Blue. Highlight with a sideload of Snow White. Load thinned Lamp Black onto the no. 18/0 script liner to paint the eye. Using a stylus, highlight the eye with a dot of Snow White. Using the no. 6 chisel, float an Antique Mauve C-stroke for a cheek under the eye. Double-load the no. 1 script liner with Jack-O’-Lantern Orange and Burnt Orange. Keeping the Burnt Orange to the bottom, pull a carrot nose onto the snowman. Using the no. 1 script liner, tap Snow White onto the topside of the nose. Using a stylus with Snow White, add flakes of snow in the sky.
SnOWFLAKES: Basecoat the snowflakes with Snow White on the no. 6 chisel. Float Williamsburg Blue around the edges, and strengthen the color at the tips with Deep Mid- night Blue. Using the no. 18/0 script liner with Williams- burg Blue, add a freehand design of your choice in the cen- ter or refer to the painted sample.
FINISHING
HOLLY AnD BERRIES TIn: Using DecoArt DuraClear Gloss Varnish on the no. 6 chisel, varnish the snowflakes and the entire tin. Allow to dry. Add a coat of varnish to the snowflakes and sprinkle with DecoArt Glamour Dust. Shake off the excess. Allow to dry. Using the glue gun, adhere one large snowflake and one small snowflake in the tin pocket. Hot glue one small snowflake to the top outside left edge.
SnOWmAn TIn: Using the no. 6 chisel, varnish the snowflakes and snowman with DecoArt DuraClear Gloss Varnish. While still wet, sprinkle on the DecoArt Glam- our Dust and shake off the excess. Using the stylus, place a dot of varnish on the snowflakes in the sky. While they are wet, sprinkle with Glamour Dust. Allow to dry. Using the glue gun, adhere one large snowflake and one small snowflake in the tin pocket. Hot glue one small snowflake to the top outside left edge.
Add a ribbon for hanging as an ornament, a magnetic strip to use as a refrigerator magnet, or a pin back if this will be worn as a pin.
