STRAIGHT POINTED COMMA-STROKE
STEP 1
Please note that in the photos I am sitting to the right. With the handle pointed back slightly, draw in the point with no pressure. Begin to gradually apply pressure.
STEP 4
The brush should be relaxing back up on the bristle tips near the end of the stroke, and you will note that it has formed a chisel.
STEP 2
Pull the stroke in a straight path while gradually applying more pressure. At the widest part of the stroke you may press right down to the ferrule.
STEP 5
Pivot the chisel ninety degrees and slide on the knife-edge to form the tail at the end of the stroke.
STEP 3
After passing the widest part of the stroke, be- gin to gradually release pressure while pulling in a straight path.
STEP 6
Sweep the chisel off the surface.
