  SKILLBUILDER
 C-SHAPE POINTED COMMA-STROKE
   STEP 1
Being right-handed, I pull the stroke from left to right. If left-handed you will pull from right to left. With the handle pointed back, slightly to the right, draw in the point with no pressure. Then begin to gradually apply pressure to start the curve.
STEP 4
Once the brush is around the curve, begin to gradually release pressure. Note how the brush is forming a chisel.
STEP 2
Pull the brush in a curved path to the right, gradually applying more pressure. Pull to the left, if left-handed.
STEP 5
Continue releasing pressure until the brush is up on its bristle tips. Begin to slide on the chisel.
STEP 7
Use the no. 5/0 liner loaded in the tipping color to extend the blunt tip at the beginning into a sharper point. You can extend this point into a curl, if desired.

STEP 3
Continue in the curved path with pressure main- tained. Watch the inside edge of the brush to form the curved shape in the stroke. It helps to visualize pulling the brush around a ball.
STEP 6
Slide on the chisel to complete the tail and then sweep the bristle tips off the surface.
