PREPARATION
Enlarge the pattern 145 percent if it will be applied to a shirt, or resize it as necessary if another surface is chosen. Trace the pattern onto tracing paper, vellum paper, or trans- parency film. Securely tape or clip the fabric to the hardboard or shirt form. Place the pattern on the desired position on the fabric, and then tape or pin it in place. With graphite paper under the pattern, use a stylus to transfer the design to the fabric. Soon after you begin transferring, lift a corner of the graphite paper to ensure that adequate pressure is being used for the transfer.
LET’S PAINT
The majority of this piece is created using a wet-on-wet technique, which creates lovely blending and streaking.
