STEP 5: Continue a final blending of color and Pro White on the right side of the sky.
BUILDINGS AND FOREGROUND
STEP 6: With a damp clean brush, carefully complete a final blend around the lighthouse steeple. When you have finished, there should not be any area left in the sky that has not been blended to some degree with Pro White. The buildings will remain the white of the paper.
STEP 2: Using the 1⁄4" flat wash, paint the rooftops with a very light glaze of Viridian. Next, paint another glaze of Red Brown in spots on the roofs and on the entire chimneys. Using the no. 4 round with Indigo, paint some haphazard lines to suggest the tiles on the roof. Darken some areas to suggest old broken tiles on the roof and the gaps between them. Add some shadows and details to the chimneys.
SKILLBUILDER
Using the no. 4 round, add Permanent Violet to the steeple roof. Add some Burnt Sienna in spots to sug- gest the rust. Detail the inside of the glass tower, the two dome top windows, and the handrail with Indigo. Paint the shadows with watered-down Ultramarine Deep.
