STEP 3: With the no. 12 Keith’s Special Effects brush, paint the trees using a layer of Sap Green and then a layer of Yellow Green. Add a touch here and there of Yellow Ochre No. 1. Use the no. 2 round with Sap Green for twigs.
STEP 5: With the 1" flat wash, apply a coat of Yellow Ochre No. 1 to the rock areas and let dry. Add a very watered- down glaze of Permanent Yellow Deep over the rocks. Us- ing the no. 6 round, darken the diagonal path above the boat and in front of the cabins with Vandyke Brown.
STEP 4: Add some Sap Green, Yellow Green, and Yellow Ochre No. 1 to the ground area with the 1⁄4" flat wash. This is just to create variety of color.
STEP 6: With an old toothbrush, add splatters to the rocks with Indigo and let dry. Add Vandyke Brown splatters and let dry. Then add Sepia splatters, and finally Sap Green splatters. Using the no. 4 round, start to detail the lines between the rocks with Vandyke Brown.
