 LET’S PAINT
BASKETS
Shade the pink egg using the no. 8 flat with Carousel Pink. Shade the blue egg with Sapphire. Shade the purple egg with Dioxazine Purple. Add highlights to all the eggs with Snow White.
BUNNIES
Double-load the 1⁄4" stippler with Slate Grey and Grey Sky. Pounce in the shadows, keeping the Slate Grey in the shadow area. Walk this out a little to blend. Wipe the brush clean. Double-load the 1⁄4" stippler with Light But- termilk and Grey Sky. Pounce in highlights, walking the brush down into the shadow. Note: The trick to making the bunnies fuzzy is when highlighting, tap just over the shadow area on the bunny and where the bunny touches
Shade the handle, each side of the vertical slats on the basket, the top edge of the basket, under the bands on the basket, under the bottom of the handle, and behind the bunnies using a no. 8 flat with Burnt Sienna. Add the fine lines of the basket using a no. 10/0 liner with water-thinned Burnt Sienna. Highlight with Golden Straw using a float on the handle and top edge of the basket. Dry-brush the body of the basket using a 1⁄4" crescent with Taffy Cream. Widen the highlight on the handle and the top edge of the basket. Dry-brush Taffy Cream on the slats of the basket as well. Remember, when dry-brushing load the brush and then wipe off almost all the paint on a paper towel. Gently rub the brush in the area. If not enough paint comes off the brush, just press down a little harder.
