sides of the leaves and only the leaves on the center right side of the piece. Veins are a liner of Avocado Dip. Shade at the base with Evergreen; dry; pick up Midnite Green on dirty brush and add more shading. Add final shading to leaves mostly on the left with Soft Black.
PLUM
Although there really is no indication of what this fruit is, I decided to interpret it as a plum. I thought this piece needed a bit of blue in it. Basecoat Williamsburg Blue. Load the shader that best fits the area with the base color, side-load into Salem Blue, blend and add highlight to top and center to create the “dip” in the plum. Repeat, picking up more Salem Blue, then Warm White as needed. Using the dry S-dome, pick up Williamsburg Blue, take out excess, pick up Salem Blue, take out excess, and begin tapping this color in for bright highlight; repeat, picking up more Salem Blue; repeat, picking up Warm White. Be sure to leave a “halo” of the last color showing around your current color. Shade to create dip, where it lays behind the pear and apple, and on the right, walking the color toward the highlight with Deep Midnight Blue. Add Soft Black shading in the darkest areas under the other fruit.
GRAPES
Basecoat the grapes with Pansy Lavender. Using dry XS-dome brush pick up Purple Cow, take out excess and add highlights to grapes (this is the only highlight on grapes marked Step 1 on page 35); pick up Lilac in dirty brush, take out ex- cess and add highlight to grapes Steps 1 & 2 (see page 35); pick up Soft Heather on dirty brush, take out excess and add to grapes Step 3 (see page 35). Pick up Warm White in dirty brush, take out excess, and apply brightest highlights to grapes. Shade
