The Decorative Painter • ISSUE NO. 1, 2016 51
■ No. 10/0 Liner Brush: Be sure to use half water and half paint to get a fluid mixture and nice tip to the brush liner. I find it gives me a lot more brush control.
■ When painting the fences, hold the angle brush straight up to give uniformity of height, width, and shadow to fences.
■ When floating with an angle brush, wet the brush, tap on side of basin, load paint on larger end and very gently touch a paper towel with the shorter end. Walk the brush on the palette before going to the painting to repeat the step. This makes very nice floats.
