SHILA’S FLOWER
When The Decorative Painter, Issue 2 arrived, I loved Mary McLean’s floral. I went off to Staples and had the graphic enlarged in hopes of painting it. For the sake of safety I had them make two copies.
Within days Shila Vora,
a member of Brandywine
Decorative Painters (BDP), came
by the warehouse. I gave her a
copy of the design and challenged
her to interpret it in “tangle”. Shila
is a gorgeous “tangler” and creates
wonderful jewelry pieces with her
designs. Here is the result of my
challenge to her. BDP is doing two art shows this fall and winter and this will be a feature piece. Shila is donating it to the Chapter and we will have it for sale at the shows.
...Just another way to use the designs given to us in The Decorative Painter.
