  Nancy Scott cda has been a decorative painter since 1989. She enjoys painting in oils and acrylics. She earned her CDA in the Still Life Category in 1994. She has served her chapter, Capitolers, as seminar chairperson, recording secretary, vice-president and president. She has published in The Decorative Artist’s Workbook,
ToleWorld, Painting World, Pixelated Palette, etc. She has taught at World of Color, New England Traditions, OKC Painting Palooza and the SDP National Convention.
Recently retired from her 40-year career as a dental hygienist, she continues to travel-teach and teaches regularly for her chapter.
 Branches are painted with Milk Chocolate using the no. 1 liner brush (see Step 9). Add a streak of Desert Sand here and there to the top of the branches for
a lighter value (see Step 10). The leaves are stroked on with Antique Green and brush-mixes of Antique Green+Desert Sand for different values (see Step 11).
FINISHING
Let painting dry thoroughly. Brush on DecoArt Traditions Satin Varnish following all manufacturer’s instructions.
