When you have the seahorse as you want him, use the wood end of your brush to draw a line in the paint from top to bottom of his belly to show his belly definition. Play with the paint and have fun. No two pieces will look exactly the same even if you use the same colors. If any paint runs over the edge of the canvas wipe it with your finger or your bigger brush.
Tip: I like the look of the paint running over the sides, so I wipe the bottom edge of the canvas not the sides. STEP 4
FINISHING
Using your liner brush, go over the seahorse with the metallic colors of your choice to make the details stand out. After the canvas is completely dry, pour the high gloss topcoat over the canvas using the large brush to spread it. You can add the sand and shells to the bottom at this time. It also looks good without the sand and shells.
