NARCISSI PETALS
STEP 1
Load the 3/8" angular brush with Value 5 Leaves & Stems Mix, place it along the left side and within the base of the bottle; blend with the 6mm Sceptre Gold flat brush.
Clean the brush and pinch it. Load with the Value 9 Foreground Mix and place it down the right side of the bottle; blend. Load the 1/4" angular brush with the Warm White Mix and place it in the wiped out area referred to as the pass– through highlight; blend to soften. Load the 1/4" angular brush with the Yellow Tint Mix; place it within the “pass-through” highlight and soften slightly.
Build up the main window highlights on the left side of the bottle while the painting is wet or allow it to dry and “oil out” the area using a tiny amount of linseed oil. Rub the oil into the surface (it should not be very wet) and then paint the highlights. Load the 1/4" angular brush with Value 9 Glass Mix and place the highlights working from top to bottom to create the window lights. Be sure to make them follow the contour of the glass! Use the 6mm Sceptre Gold flat brush to soften by pulling across the highlights from left to right. Build up some lighter highlights within the left window highlights and blend slightly.
