GOLDEN ROSES
Step 1: Using your #10 flat brush, undercoat the roses in Treasure Gold. Use brushstrokes to form the rose and then fill in the center. You can let it dry or not, as you desire. Please note that undercoating isn’t always required. It is optional, depending upon the color of your background.
Step 2: Double load your flat brush with Treasure Gold and Black Cherry. Blend on the palette to soften the color and apply comma-like strokes around the top of the rose.
Step 3: Double load the brush with Mayan Gold and Black Cherry, or you could use True Burgundy or a mixture of the two. Paint at the second row of petals as shown.
Step 4: The very center is a mixture of Black Cherry and Sap Green to create depth. Double-load the brush with Mayan Gold and Black Cherry, paint comma-like strokes around the outside edges and bottom of the flower.
