 cidentally made its way onto the wicker. Next, protect the painted scene by applying two coats of varnish, accord- ing to the manufacturer’s instructions. Paint the tray with DecoArt Staining/Antiquing Medium+Buttermilk+Neutral Grey (3:1:1) on the 1" sponge brush. Apply paint heavily
to the inside of the wicker sides and then hold the tray at an angle, allowing the mix to run and drip through the wicker. Follow the same instructions for the outside of the wicker sides. Paint the bottom of the tray with the same mix.

           Sharon Buononato cda has been a member of SDP since 1982 and a decorative painting teacher since 1980. She became a Certified Decorative Artist in 1987. She is sole proprietor of Sharon B’s Originals Brushes (designer brushes, original publications, and other products) and a founding member of the Hudson Valley Tole and Deco- rative Painters. She has twice served as president, and first vice president of the chapter. Sharon’s designs are seen frequently in national painting publications.
