trunks on the right side. Next we will add the foliage onto the trees. Load the X-Large mezzaluna brush with Hau- ser Medium Green. Tap off some of the color onto your palette and lightly pounce in the leaves on the branches. Twist the brush here and there while pouncing to vary the leaves on the trees to make it look more natural. Repeat this step on a smaller area with Foliage Green. Add some sun highlights here and there with Avocado Dip and then again with Cadmium Yellow. When dry, transfer the road, outline of bridge, walls and grass.
ROAD
Basecoat the road on both sides of the bridge with Light Mocha using the no. 8 shader brush. (Refer to Step 1 of the Step-by-Step above.) Shade the road with Burnt Umber, keeping the darkest shading going into the bridge. Add a wash of Burnt Umber randomly onto the road to darken. (Refer to Step 2 of the Step-by-Step above.)
BRIDGE ROOF
The roof and top part of the peak in the front are basecoated with Slate Grey using the no. 8 shader brush for the top and the no. 2 round brush for the thin roof line go- ing toward the back of the bridge. (Refer to Step 1 of the Step-by-Step above.) The shingles and lines on the peak are added with Lamp (Ebony) Black thinned with a touch of wa- ter and the liner brush. (Refer to Step 2 of the Step-by-Step above.) Use the no. 8 shader brush to float a shadow on the roof behind the peak. (Refer to Step 3 of the Step-by-Step above.) Highlight the roof with a float of Warm White. (Re- fer to Step 3 of the Step-by-Step above.) The outer triangle on the front under the peak is Charcoal Grey using the no. 2 round brush. (Refer to Step 1 of the Step-by-Step above.) Shade directly under the roof line with Lamp (Ebony) Black. (Refer to Step 2 of the Step-by-Step above.)
