6. Practical

Now its time to put your new learnings to the test!

Trainee Activity

1. Dress a mannequin with the following items: blazer, pant & shirt

i. Demonstrate versatility

• Select 3 alternate items from any lifestyle to build outfits that
can be worn for multiple occasions and purposes

Trainer Note: Examples include:
• Denim – wearing the blazer with denim for a more casual look or event
• T-shirt or polo – not all suiting looks need to be paired with a dress shirt
• Cardigan or sweater – match back to suiting pants for options without a blazer
Encourage a “complete” look that includes all the accessories a customer would need:
• Tie or Bowtie
• Cuff links or Tie bar
• Suspenders
• Pocket square
• Socks!
Utilize the Styling Guide to assess execution and coach to missing details or elements such
as: shirt buttons aligning with belt and zipper, tags are tucked or removed etc

2. Demonstrate how you would sell the suit to the trainer. Showcase the

alternate options they have selected for versatility on any occasion!
