CRACK & SORT STEPS
3 Proceed to opening the larger sized shipment boxes, determine if there are full bags of prepacked
items located inside – if so, remove and set aside for processing as per visual direction in a separate
procedure.
HEALTH & SAFETY TIPS
• While unpacking, ensure to work at waist level; by placing boxes
on a table/cart or stacking boxes.
• Should you have to open some bags, ensure to use all your fingers
to rip open the bag, and not only your thumbs.
4 As you sort each box, ensure to reference and check off all new items received within your banner
specific visual/product documents.
5 If you are an Ecomm exclusive store, use the “Ship, Shelf, Ready” process to organize and store these
specific items in your backroom for QuickFind and In-Store & Curbside Pick-up fulfillment.
6 Once boxes by category are filled as a result of processing shipment, these units should be placed
in your designated areas of the backroom and sales floor (ex: proformas, backroom shelving, sales
floor table storage, sales floor wall cupboards). If these areas are full, a rolling rack can be utilized for
temporary storage until additional space can be created or cleared.
