Store Capacity
RCL COVID-19 • To protect staff and customers, manage entry into the store, only allowing a limited number of people
Measure into your store at any given time
• Many disabled people cannot be left alone. e.g. someone with dementia or a learning disability. This
means that the person who is able to go out to shop needs to take the other person with them and stay
with them at all times.
• Many people are anxious or stressed over COVID-19 and/or have a cognitive/intellectual disabilities

impacting their ability to understand the pandemic
Potential
• Being in a public setting can cause additional stress and/or anxiety
Obstacle
• Changes to the store set-up and fixture placement can result in evacuation routes being blocked or
redirected resulting in a barrier for someone with a mobility restrictions
• Some customers with mobility disabilities e.g. wheelchairs or canes may find maneuvering in the store to
be a challenge while maintaining a safe distance
• It is important that our stores are accessible and accommodating to those with disabilities.
