This thesis aims to submit the role of progressive
education in confirming the social cohesion in the
light of Asuggested analytical view that indicates the
definition of the progressive education and the social
cohesion using the descriptive curriculum in the
studying of the circumstances, phenomena and the
relationships between the progressive education and
the social cohesion.

Some Arabic and foreign studies were presented in
conducting these two fields (progressive education-
social cohesion). This thesis has two sections, the first
section includes the theoritical background of the
progressive education from the definition, the
importance, characteristics and the main types of
progressive education and its challenges.
