At the present time, two founders are actively involved in the management of the Company.
Since 2007, Alex has been responsible for top to bottom product BES development, both soft and hard. Operations

He is consistently moving the product forward - from market/consumer research, technology transfer,
prototyping, commercialization, branding, product launch and growth. An entrepreneur at heart and spirit,
he drives hard; from all aspects of business, and across many industries, he has opened new markets,
and created excitement in established products. He is passionate about products and supporting the
customer. He has worn many hats and had the opportunity to experience an incredible amount with a
successful record of business and product development.

As Joule Case’s CEO, James builds teams, manages resources, and aligns to the long term vision.
James has been working with swappable, stackable battery systems since 2007. As a licensed professional
engineer with years of developing technical projects and products, he comes from a technical background
and understands the importance of people for any large technical project, product, or organization. He
excels at building rapport and aligning incentives to unify diverse teams and organizations. Throughout his
career, he drives for a better, greener world through technology development and implementation. He
enjoys both professional and personal challenges such as climbing Mt. Rainier and cycling from San
Francisco to Los Angeles.
