                              ood afternoon parents,

Another week draws to a close and I wish to again thank you all for your most generous support of your

child(ren)'s learning during this continued period of uncertainty. Ensuring your child(ren) has the ability to
continue their learning despite the difficulties many face is a true testament to your continued

insistence that your child(ren)'s education comes first.

A huge thank you to those parents who joined us this week for our inaugural, virtual Parent meeting which
saw us for the first time, hold individual Year group meetings to answer questions and queries; also set out
the future plans and opportunities we are developing to set ourselves even further ahead of other

educational institutions in Nigeria, West Africa and beyond. These plans do not stop here either with our
very first online Parent-Teacher conferences taking place this week. I hope you were able to take full

advantage of the opportunity; we see this as a real turning point in how we communicate with parents
moving forward, ensuring that parents and the school form even closer links to benefit the child's
                education.

Our assessment schedule will be released early next week for both our internal and external assessments so

please keep an eye on your emails for this as well as the TRSS Online Examination Protocols document
too. Please do spend some time going through this document with your child to ensure there are no
misconceptions as to what is allowed and what is not during the assessments. On this, please also ensure

your child is present in good time for the online assessments and that all instructions sent by the teacher are
followed to ensure the best possible experience for all of our students. Leading up to these assessments, it

is especially important that students are attending the online learning, so they are clear about what the
assessments will involve. I know, however, that this is also very important to you, so I feel confident

attendance will be excellent moving forward.

Please note that all subjects studied will be part of the assessments as they are all key to a well-
rounded education, which is a key part of our vision here at The Regent School.

As always, I welcome any feedback from you regarding the online learning or our ASA programme which
is still running very successfully even during the lockdown period. Thank you again for your continued

support during these difficult times, it is very much appreciated.

                Kind regards,

                Mr D. Andrew Williams
                Principal
