The above illustration does not include cost savings accruing to the organisation as a whole due to
elimination of travelling cost of the participating officers to the training venues. On an average, each
participant spends two (2) days in coming to and returning from the place of training. By that
calculation, there is a saving of more than 5400 mandays.

Similarly, the entire TA/DA expenditure for participant officers travelling to attend the MDP
courses, has also been saved.

These organisational cost savings are to be added to the reduction in cost of training at NADP. The
resultant saving due to NADP e-MDP for the organisation is enormous.

For almost similar number of training mandays, the cost of conducting training at NADP
has reduced by almost 94%, which is spectacular to say the least. If we add the cost savings
by way of elimination of loss of travelling time man-days and TA/DA expenditure of the
participating officers, then the actual saving for the organisation is huge.

4. SUSTAINABILITY
From the churning of the disruptions
created by the COVID pandemic, NADP
e-MDP emerged as a technological
solution to provide uninterrupted
training to OFB officers. Its signature is its
simplicity, easy adaptability, versatility,
agility, flexibility, replicability. The user
friendly technological capability of the
system is further strengthened by its huge
organisational cost saving ability which
makes it a sustainable platform not only
for the short term pandemic period but
also for the long term future as well.

5. REPLICABILITY
NADP e-MDP as an E-Learning model
is simple yet efficacious. The model can
be replicated with appropriate
modifications to suit any organisation. It
does not require much capital investment
and hence other organisations may not
find it difficult to launch the new model to
switch over to the on line training
medium.
