e-MDP …… AN ONLINE TRAINING SOLUTION FOR OFB OFFICERS
e-MDP …… AN ONLINE TRAINING SOL UTION FOR OFB OFFICER S

                                              THE FUTURE

NADP e-MDP was conceptualised as an
emergency response to COVID pandemic challenges.

But it has emerged as a unique and authentic online
training solution in its own right. It is unique in its
simplicity. This simple model is easily given to
                                                       adaptability, flexibility, versatility and therefore
replicability. But the last one year of implementation
has been an eye opener. The cost effectiveness of the
system has been massive and going by the feedback
from the participants and other parameters, it

appears to be a success story. Hence the cost saving
and technological feasibility of the system has turned
it into an authentic, sustainable and enduring model.

But the future of work, workplace and employee
training is even more unpredictable. Going by the
indications, in future, we may have to adopt a
blended method where many training programs will
be conducted online whereas some others would still
be continued to be conducted through the

                                                       conventional classroom method.

However, NADP e-MDP marks the beginning
towards a transformation of the training system in the
organisation. Ultimate goal is to move to a Learning

Management System (LMS), a software application
that provides the framework that handles all aspects
of the learning process e.g., identifying and assessing
individual and organizational training goals, tracking
progress towards meeting those goals and collecting
and presenting data for supervising the training
process. It will enable to upload learning content,
deliver lessons to students, serving notifications, and

share data with authorized users. Thus
institutionalising an appropriate LMS would be a
major step in the transformation to become a
                                                       Learning Organisation.
