HOW TO USE THIS BOOK:

The Statutes & Rules portions of this book were prepared from the
official Florida State publications applicable to the pest control field.

This book is an overview of the topics which may be covered on the
test. While it is as complete as possible as of the date of publishing, it
is not intended to be an all-inclusive guide.

The text has been color-coded to assist the reader in locating
portions that are directly associated with a particular branch of pest
control. THE TEXT PRINTED IN BLACK IS OF GENERAL
INTEREST TO ALL BRANCHES AND SHOULD BE

CAREFULLY READ BY ALL STUDYING THIS BOOK.
The highlighted text is very important and has been included as a
study help for quick review of the sections. Remember, questions on

the exam may come from any section, so do not just quickly skim
through the material in this book.

NOTE: When State forms are referenced in the text, some have been
included in the back of the text or appendix. Many of the other forms

that were NOT included are available online from the Florida State
Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services at www.flaes.org/.

In some cases, insects on the opposite page from the State statutes
and rules have been matched to the portion of code for that specific
branch where the insect will be referenced.

The black text of general interest includes lessor branches of pest

control. When the text is specific to a major branch of pest control,
the text is printed in the following colors:

            HOUSEHOLD & RODENT (uncolored)
            FUMIGATION
            TERMITE & WDO
            LAWN & ORNAMENTAL
