So this is the point where I mention that the chap my mother
first married in 1939 was called Hudson.
I cannot be sure that I ever met him because Mother kept
this fact from me until the day she died and then never
            mentioned it!
So when I was born in 1944, my name was duly registered as
            Hudson.
From the very first day I can remember I have always been called
Sanders, the name of the chap I have always taken as my father. But
that birth certificate or indeed my name was never ever changed until
I had to do it myself just before I was to be married. Even then it was
Grandmother Munford (née Baynes) who saved the day for me and
produced this bombshell shortly before I became 21 years old, a fact
that I had never even suspected previously. Much more about this
            later.
