By way of an introduction, starting the construction of this book I
envisaged something like the book I produced for Goliath....but!

As I progressed and more and more memories began to flood back, I

realised that this needed something different. So we have produced a
picture book with “some” words.

I have even changed the title already, it began as “our first Shire Horse”.

Ebony did so much in his life that even thinking about it all is quite
staggering considering he was a horse. If he had been a human, his
achievements would have been amazing, so here we go, I hope you enjoy
the journey.

Ivy House, Main Road, New Bolingbroke in Southern Lincolnshire was where
it all started in about 1977. There were the three of us at home, myself, Ruth
and our daughter Helen.
