“The food is good here,” said Sammy
enthusiastically.
“I suppose, as we are living in the
countryside … it is nice and fresh!”
There were two other horses on the
farm . Jupiter ... the oldest, had grown up
with Ebony when he had lived in
Lincolnshire as a young horse. Jupiter was
a “skew-bald”, that is brown and white... with
a white mane and tail. Just between his ears
and almost down to his nose end was a long
black bunch of hair called a forelock. He
was very smart and most Saturdays was
employed to take a beautiful open wedding
carriage to different towns all over the
County.
