The previous picture was with myself and car ready for the
road.
We had tested the wooden floors to be sure they were
undamaged and re secured the seat mountings. Under the
upholstery, the original seats had blow up cushions similar to a
football bladder that you could control with a mouthpiece and
rubber bung, but these had perished.
Ruth had to have a wooden block fitted to the accelerator
pedal to enable her to reach the controls. The little car was a
remarkably sturdy piece of engineering. It had a complete 12
volt electrics system with huge headlights. Hydraulic drum
brakes fitted to all four wheels and its 1275 cc twin
carburettor, overhead valve engine could out perform my
