All the day long, each and every Wednesday these pavings
were virtually impassable to normal pedestrians as farmers
from far and wide jostled to close a deal for the commodities
needed to sustain their land and grow their crops.
At the time of harvest they came here to sell their corn and
            wheat.
Countless deals were sealed week after week with a draft
of Lincolnshire ale from the various “Peacock” bars, all packed
            to capacity.
Then, at the end of the day those faithful shire horses
moved the huts back to their store until the next Wednesday
            dawned.
