CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE
            “BBC SONGS OF PRAISE”

Very much like what had happened when we went to Belvoir Castle for BBC 2.
The Planned “Songs of Praise” programme began with a phone call from the BBC.

Then they came to see us and explained what they wanted.

The actual service being filmed was for “Harvest Festival “and was to take place in Louth
Parish Church. The programme was based there and filming took place in the countryside
            around.

Several or our friends were involved and that is perhaps how we became involved too.

The programme introduction and ending was filmed at Northcote using Admiral our Suffolk
            Horse and traditional Lincolnshire tip
            cart….with Pam Rhodes and Reggie
            our Jack Russell.

Several of the interviews took place
at Northcote too. Including one with
            “yours truly”!

Pam Rhodes and the team were
delightful and so easy to get along
            with.

All very memorable and I remember
Pam telling us that she had left her
home in London swimming in water
as her “in the roof” water storage
tank had burst and it all came
rushing down the stairs the very day
            she left to come north!

Picture right with Myself and Reggie.

Beside the cart are the Director
            Jem Kime and Pam Rhodes.
