WEDDING AT THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH
            SKEGNESS

             again with Robert.

This wedding took place around the same time. This Church is located in one of the
quieter streets off the centre of the town and after we had safely delivered the bride, we
found a side street some two hundred yards away to pass the time until required further.

Time went by and we thought it rather long winded so I sallied forth and turned out of our
side road to find a Fire Engine parked outside the Church. I could not believe my eyes.

Nipped back to inform Robert who was engaged in keeping Jupiter quiet with a Mars bar!

Back once more and up to the Church to see what was going on, why on earth should a
Fire Engine be called into assist at a Wedding?

You will never guess, but one of the younger boy guests being bored with the ceremony
had taken himself to the back of the Church and stuck his head between the vertical
wooden structure of the rear pews.

Of course we were told later his head would then not come out again and consequently,
            “call the Fire Brigade”!

I understand the boy was rescued from his predicament and we were somewhat late
delivering the Bride and Groom to their reception!

            ANOTHER WEDDING AT SKEGNESS

            again with Robert.

This was at a similar time, weddings requiring horse drawn carriages were quite the vogue
for quite a few years, this helped us greatly with our precarious income !

It was Jupiter and the Victoria Carriage once again, but no dog this time either.
