BIO REX® NONI ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
In the NONI fruit, around 200 bioactive compounds
have been reported. The ripe fruit is especially rich in
proteins and astonishingly rich list of complex plant
secondary metabolite structures with specific medicinal
properties. These belong to the main chemical families
of glycosylated or aglycone polyphenols,
anthraquinones, bioflavonoids, phenylpropanoids,
iridoids, lignans, polyterpenes, phytosterols, sugar-
esterified medium and short-chained fatty acids, mono-
and di-glycerides, polysaccharides. As said,
fermentation processing pre-digests the fruit high-
weight macromolecular components to their easily
absorbable and less caloric break-down products, whilst
preserving and concentrating NONI’s and other fruits’
qualified precious secondary-metabolite bioactive
fractions, which are not substrates of microbial
hydrolytic activity.
A large number of these NONI ripe-fruit components,
mainly phenolic compounds, organic acids and alkaloids
of biomedical relevance have been identified, classified,
and described in terms of chemical structure-biological
