Their decisions could
not be canceled or
aued, even by
other gods.
From this we get the word
fate. Fate is usuay thought of
as a predetermined course of
events beyond human control.
A typical response to a
belief in fate is resignation. We can’t change
destiny, so why even
try? Whatever ha ens,
ha ens, there’s nothin’
we can do about it.
This is caed “fatalism,”
and it is not biblical.
It is her karma; it
is past punishment
for the evil she did
in a former life.
This view is widely held in the
Hindu religion. It is this fatalistic
view of life that helps k p
India’s caste system in place.
Fatalism is a major premise of Islam,
which demands total submi ion to
the sovereignty of Aah.
