P. 12
In contrast, fatalism is
not taught in the Bible.
The Bible teaches Fr Wi — that
Man was created with the ability to
make moral choices and that he is
responsible for those choices.
Adam and Eve were not
helple victims in
some cruel divine game.
They were given the ability to
chse obedience with its
aompanying bleings — or
disobedience with its
consequent curses (Genesis 3).
Scripture teaches we are held
aountable for our choices:
He who sows wickedne
reaps trouble
(Proverbs 22:8a).
A hard work brings a
profit, / but mere talk
leads only to poverty
(Proverbs 14:23).
Many times, when the Bible speaks of
destiny it is talking about a destiny
that people bring on themselves:
Many live as enemies of
the cro of Christ. Their
destiny is destruction
(Philiians 3:18-19).
This is the fate of those
who trust in themselves
(Psalm 49:13).
Each person was
judged aording to
what he had done
(Revelation 20:13).
