P. 8
If there are no
absolutes, chaos
ensues.
If the law of
gravity were not
an absolute, we
wouldn’t know
where to stand
or sit.
If two plus two
didn’t always equal
four, busine would
be impoible.
If laws of math,
science and physics
are absolute, so
there are absolute
moral truths.
Stop — roer! When you say, “What might
be ‘right’ for you may
not be ‘right’ for me,” it
may sm a
ealing — but
in reality, it means
everyone sets their own
rules to live by.
It is just a maer of
time before one
person’s sense of right
wi conflict with
someone else’s.
What ha
ens if it Or I might think it
is “right” for me to is right to steal
ignore traic from you, and you
lights, even when might think it is not
they are red? right.
If there is no standard
of right and wrong that
we are a a ountable
to, then we can never be
sure of anything.
There could be no laws or
justice — a world without
absolutes would be a
ho ible place to live.
