ny's pricing is higher or lower than the others'.

    If there is a big discrepancy between proposals, find out why.
It usually means that you were not comparing all elements of the
manufacturing; that some specification has been left out.

    Don't make the final decision based on price alone. Price is obvi­
ously important, but it's not everything, although at this point in
time it feels like it is, I know! Trust me; receiving quality prod­
uct on time from a manufacturer is worth more than saving a little
money.

     Gert Boyle's parents fled from Germany in 1 937 and landed in

                                         Price Point

Now that you know how much it will cost to manufacture your prod­
uct, you can begin to finalize the pricing. You probably already have
an idea of where your product's price point will be from researching
your product's marketplace and seeing the competition.

    As you determine a wholesale cost (what you will charge stores
for your product), it is important to know your competitors' price
