From the System Level Chair

Greetings from Richmond County and your System Level Chair.

It is hard to believe that we are already almost half-way through the school year and
what a year it's been!

We have been tested in ways we never thought possible and have come out on top - I
say on top because despite what obstacles we still face going forward, we have proven
to our communities, district leaders, teachers, parents, staff, and students that we are
ESSENTIAL!

I am grateful for a fantastic state association and state staff that have been with us since the first week of this pandemic.

The communication from the state and between directors has been amazing and helpful. We know we're all facing the
same challenges, but it's still nice to hear that we are not alone. One of the valuable tools I have used is the email list serv
implemented by GSNA for our system level group. It has been a quick and easy way to get tons of ideas and suggestions
from around the state. A huge thanks to those who have used it and those who have provided answers.

As we look to the future this year in GSNA, it's obvious that there will still be many changes from what we're used to, but
we will continue to reach out to our valuable members for feedback and guidance to ensure your needs are met. We are
currently making decisions about regularly scheduled meetings and conferences and will be sharing that information
with you as it becomes available. One of the new ideas I am most excited about are virtual training sessions. I am hoping
to make your life a bit easier by developing virtual training for courses such as ONE, MIT, and several of the TID courses.

Please remember that I am here for you. I am here to listen to your needs and work to provide you a voice within the
association. If you have ideas or suggestions please send me an email or give me a call.

WOW!! What a year this has been.

When everyone else set anchor, you hoisted another sail and went "All Ahead Full".

Even though, we had to trim one's sail you answered the call.
