R E S O L U T I O N

TEXAS POLICE ASSOCIATION

June 1, 2023

WHEREAS, during the past year we have learned of the death of: Iram Avila,
Dumas; Russell Baker, Odessa; H. R. Bock, Fredericksburg; J. W. Golden,
Richardson; Alfredo C. Gonzalez, Edinburg; James C. Hampton, Irving; Bill Hardin,
Fort Worth; Harold Harton, Lampasas; John Ridings Lee, Dallas; Jerry Neal, Amarillo;
Billy Reaves, Waco; Robert C. Spohn, Fort Worth; and Carl W. Watters, Odessa;

WHEREAS, we deeply regret the passing of these dedicated officers and loyal
members of our Association; and

WHEREAS, our Association and profession has suffered a great loss in the
death of these fine officers;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the members of the Texas
Police Association, in session, assembled at Georgetown, Texas on this the 1st day of
June, 2023, unanimously go on record as expressing our great sorrow in the loss of
these members of our Association and hereby extend to each of the families our
sincerest heartfelt sympathy.
