Summary of Programme for Year 9:
Students develop the skills required for the GCSE Drama course through material specific to Year 9. Over the course of the year, this may include: devising short pieces of drama in groups; performing scripted extracts from plays; reviewing a live theatre production; and the study of theatre and film from the point of view of actor, director and designer. The course involves some written work, but the key focus will be developing creative and practical performance skills.
Does the Year 9 course include any elements of the GCSE?
We will touch on some aspects of the GCSE but will mainly be focusing on different topics/skills through the year.
Food Preparation and Nutrition

Summary of Programme for Year 9:
This course covers a range of topics based around preparation of meals, food hygiene, nutrition, meal planning, healthy eating. Basic and specialist equipment may be used during various practical lessons. This is a wide ranging, life skills subject that provides an exciting opportunity for students to learn about many different aspects of food. All students will get experience in the kitchen as a part of the Creative Carousel.
