Summary of Programme for Year 9:
Students will explore a variety of dance styles and develop their creativity through a wide range of choreographic tasks. Students will develop and improve their performance skills whilst working towards performance pieces for the annual dance showcase. Students will acquire all the necessary skills to continue on to GCSE dance.
Does the Year 9 course include any elements of the GCSE?
We will touch on some aspects of the GCSE but will mainly be focusing on different topics/skills through the year.

Summary of Programme for Year 9:
All students get the opportunity to experience a number of mini projects within a variety of existing materials in the Year 9 DT carousel (including Resistant Materials, Electronics and Graphics). These are linked to subject skills that are further developed at GCSE. Classes are delivered by subject specialists and groups rotate through each of the different areas regularly.
